In an abstract shape inspired by flowers, six layers of rattan, whose densely braided edges coax them into waves, provide a soft diffused light.

Rattan is typically harvested from rattan palms, which grow in tropical regions, and the appearance and texture can vary depending on the environment. For example, whether the season was more dry or wet than usual can impact its natural color, and the time of year it’s harvested can affect how it absorbs color. Some might even include small marks of darker shades, leaving each piece with a subtle sense of individuality.
